Summer 2010 Milonga + Tea Dance Dates

Regular freestyle dancing at milongas is one of the surest ways to improve your tango dancing. We run a number of very friendly, non-intimidating milongas for you to enjoy. These are either as part of our decaDance monthly events or as part of our TangoBootCamp weekends. You do NOT need to have attended the TangoBootCamp courses to attend any of the milongas.

(Sun  July 4th ) CREAM T MILONGA AT RALLI HALL, HOVE 16.45-19.30
Cream T Milonga with those legendary homemade scones, clotted cream and dainty sandwiches
Price: £10 advance or on door (please book because we cater these T dances properly).

(Sat July 10th) MILONGA AT RALLI HALL, HOVE 21.00 - 02.00
This is a dedicated milonga at decaDance. We will be in downstairs full sized gym with a fabulous sprung wooden floor. It will be beautifully lit and fully dj’d by Dance Inspired. Music mix 65% Traditional/35% Nuevo +Tangoable Chill. Plus two other rooms of music playing jive, westcoast,swing, latin, blues + a great bar. Price: £10 advance or more on door.

(Sat  July 31st ) MILONGA AT SANDBACH BOYS SCHOOL, CHESHIRE  20.00-23.30
Lovely venue with bar. will be beautifully lit and fully dj’d by Dance Inspired. Music mix 65% Traditional/35% Nuevo +Tangoable Chill. Price: £8 advance or on door or £14 combined ticket with Cream T Milonga.

(Sun August 1st) CREAM T MILONGA AT SANDBACH BOYS SCHOOL, CHESHIRE 17.00-20.00

Ralli Hall, Hove

Ralli Hall is home of our Hove TangoBootCamp and decaDances. One day events and sunday tea dance milongas are held in the main hall. This is a big space with a great wooden floor, lots of tables and chairs etc. For decaDance events at Ralli Hall, we now hold our milongas in a full size downstairs room on beautiful sprung wooden floor. The room is very sexily lit and a beautiful ambient atmosphere is created away from the main decaDance event.

We play traditional Tango,Milonga,Vals plus contemporary + nuevo music. The main room runs plays a cross section of more uptempo music across a number of different genres (jive, salsa, blues, westcoast swing, reggae, soul, nuevo tango). This is a great night if you love tango but an even greater night if you also enjoy having a go at other partner dances. Oh and we usually have a fabulous dance demo or some live music as well! Iconic school and arts facility. Ideal location close to Northern cities and major motorways. The venue has ample fre on site parking. We hold the milongas in the airy and nicely lit refectory with excellent wooden floor.

The Brunswick Pub

Right by the seafront near the gorgeous Adelaide Crescent is one of Brighton's nicest evening venues. The decoration in 'the Venue' couldn't be more appropriate for Tango. It is totally self contained, with its own bar. You can even order food to your table. It's soft lighting, wooden walls, lovely floor really wouldn't be out of place in downtown Buenos Aires.
